July 2nd, a Postcard

………………………………………….

Reading this week: A Small Farm Future (C. Smaje), Chris is certainly one  of our more intelligent commentators on all things agrarian and peasant like, definitely worth the read (finally). And Freedom (S. Junger), a companion of sorts to Tribe.

  1. The color of Summer is green, in every shade possible. Except during drought. It looks like things are well-watered in your postcard. Have a wonderful Fourth weekend.

    • We definitely are not experiencing the drier weather of the west and upper mid-west. 2016 was the last drought (that lasted almost the entire year). How are you fairing this summer?

      • Had a dry winter, spring, and early summer up to two weeks ago, when it remembered to rain again. Just in time for the corn and soybeans, but too late for the oats. We’re never more than 3 weeks away from disaster here on this limestone quarry covered by a patch of soil. Thanks for asking.
