Another, No New Blog Post, Post

I am worn out, with projects stacked upon projects and no end in sight today. Besides, sitting down to write this morning and all that came to mind was another screed against the current condition. And dear reader, I have too much respect for you and your time to launch yet one more of those into the world. So, I’m off to weed an overdue row of tomatoes, fix a stubborn PTO shaft, complete the 1000-hour service on the large tractor, hopefully take a nap, call my dad, and then dine with friends tonight in Sweetwater.

Cheers,

A healthy frame of honey

Brian

  1. You not-a-blog-post with the healthy frame of honey seems to me like a very good blog post. Thank you!

Hope you feel like you’ve made progress on the list. I won’t say completion, because that never happens & I suppose we shouldn’t want it to. Because then it’s all ended…

    On that cheery note,
    Cheers!

  2. Brian,

I can totally identify. Just got home from our first restaurant meal in 15 months with a friend from college from 49 years ago. After raking up and round baling 132 bales, right before a rain cloud opened up. Good day, but I am exhausted. Sucks to get old. LOL

    • Don,
I got 40 round bales off of our much smaller acreage. But I was expecting 60 on the first cut. It was a bit thinner than usual. Perhaps attributable to a cool spring. How did yours compare with previous first cuttings?
      Brian

      • It was a great crop but is now shrinking every day due to the extended dry spell. Door County is a giant limestone quarry with 6 inches of sand and gravel on top in many places. 3/10ths of rain last night greatly appreciated, but not enough.

The old farmers saying is, “A cool, wet May fills the farmer’s barn with hay.” So true. Don
